The Point Pleasant Beach School District is excited to announce that the Board of Education at its November meeting approved Spiezle Architectural Group to develop and oversee the construction of a Team Performance Center at our athletic fields.
The two-story TPC will overlook the Donald T. Fioretti field and will include three team locker rooms, a team instruction and meeting space, a new athletic trainer’s room, and a student athlete rehabilitation and employee fitness room.
The TPC addresses the District’s 2025-2026 Goal #4- Maintain a safe and aesthetically pleasing physical plant that supports student learning and a healthy community.
The TPC is another step taken by the District to meet the community’s expectation that the District address its highest priority needs in creative and cost conscious ways.
The District is grateful to Mr. Peter Cancro and the PPBHS Class of 1975 who generously contributed $5 million to this project with the encouragement to make it “world class.” This donation has enabled the construction of a facility that will stand as a symbol of Point Pleasant Beach’s commitment to the health and wellness of all of its school district’s students and staff members.
The Board of Education will contribute funds previously set aside in the capital reserve account and will not require additional funds from taxpayers. Individuals, organizations, and businesses interested in joining Mr. Cancro and the PPBHS Class of 1975 in contributing to the project are invited to contact the Board of Education.
The anticipated completion date for the project is Fall 2027.
The District will provide more information on the naming of the facility at a later date.
