  • It is starting to feel like Fall!  Dusk is arriving earlier and the temperature is cooling.  I have always found this season to be my favorite time of the year.  The regular, daily routine of the school year has returned.  Especially this year, I appreciate this routine.  My daily “school experiences” are valued more now than ever before.

The highlight of October is Spirit Week.  A longtime tradition at Point Pleasant Beach High School, that is always exciting for our entire community.  Unfortunately, there will be no Pep Rally or Homecoming Parade this year.  We will be working to develop some creative ways to celebrate our school spirit.  This year, Homecoming is scheduled for Friday, October 16th.

Point Pleasant Beach High School will be administering the PSAT on October 14, 20120.  All students in grade 11 will participate in this test.  The PSAT is a program co-sponsored by the College Board and The National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Score reports should be available to students in January.

The academic expectations for our students continue as the excitement of the new school year transitions into the daily routine.  Please continue to be active in your child’s school experience.  I encourage you to access our Genesis Parent Portal regularly.  Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher, counselor or a member of the administration for any inquiries.  We are all here to challenge your child, but also support your child in becoming the most prepared for their future.
