• 1. THINK GLOBALLY!
    Help your child become aware of news and cultural events relating to the countries that speak Spanish (21 countries!) Bring articles to class for extra credit.

    2. BECOME A STUDENT!
    Have your child teach you and the family a few words or phrases daily. 

    3. PLAN FOR THE FUTURE!
    Only students who successfully complete all 3 levels in middle school Spanish will be eligible to enroll in Spanish II as a Freshman in high school. Ultimately allowing them to do "Spanish AP" for college credit as seniors in high school.

    4. BE DAZZLED BY YOUR STUDENT'S ABILITY TO:
    Listen to Spanish
    Speak Spanish
    Read in Spanish
    Write in Spanish
    and appreciate other cultures

    5. JUST DO IT!
    Practice, practice, practice and then encourage them to practice some more! 

    PRACTICE TIME IS ESSENTIAL! Students should spend a minimum of 15 minutes memorizing vocabulary daily.
