MIDDLE STATES COMMITTEE MINUTES

NOVEMBER 24, 2008

Members Present:  Dr. Ellis, Mrs. Harris, Mr. Ireland, Ms. King, Mrs. Kuhlwein, Mrs. Luccioni, Mrs. Monticello, Mr. O’Hara, Mrs. Parlow, Dr. Ravally, Mrs. Rudd, Mr. Shofi, and Mr. Whitman

1.       All attendees received contact information sheets and confirmed that the contact information was correct.

2.      Ms. King showed a PowerPoint presentation recapping the Accreditation for Growth Process and discussed the purpose and importance of the District Mission Statement.

3.      Attendees worked in groups to review, edit, and revise the current District Mission Statement.  A representative from each group read their revised copy aloud to the attendees.  Ms. King informed the committee members that she would prepare a copy of each draft for the next meeting and from these drafts, the committee would work towards creating one final District Mission Statement.

4.      The attendees then completed a School Beliefs survey.
