Validation Team Results
From March 8th through March 11th, 2010, the Validation Team (sent by the Committee on Institution-Wide Accreditation/Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools) visited the Point Pleasant Beach School District. This team consisted of Dr. Marian Trapani - Validation Team Chair, Nicole McGrath, Jennifer Soltysik, Marcia Virts, Joann Bonneville, Kenneth Flood, and William Simonitis. This team of volunteers worked day and night to perform as thorough an evaluation of our schools as was possible.
The Validation Team visited the majority of classrooms in both the elementary and high schools; conducted numerous interviews with staff, students, board members, and parents; reviewed volumes of documents including the binders on each standard, the district policy manual, the job description manual, the Board of Education agenda/minute binder, staff manual, curriculum books, the district website, as well as the Middle States Report itself.
In her exit report, Dr. Trapani praised numerous aspects of the Point Pleasant Beach School District and school community. She indicated that the Validation Team will recommend to the Middle States Commission that both the G. Harold Antrim Elementary School and the Point Pleasant Beach High School be re-accredited for seven years.
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone in our school district/school community. The collective efforts of all stakeholders have resulted in our being recommended for re-accreditation.
