Mrs. McCarthy is excited to be returning for her sixth year as Health and Physical Education Teacher at G. Harold Antrim Elementary. Before arriving at the Beach, Mrs. McCarthy was a teacher in the Montville Twp. School District (Morris County), served as Director of Athletics and Health & Physical Education at Mount Saint Dominic Academy in Caldwell, NJ (Essex County) and was Head of Campus Recreation and Assistant Basketball Coach at Montclair State University, Upper Montclair, NJ. In addition to her 13 years of experience as a classroom teacher, Mrs. McCarthy was also a coach of soccer, tennis, and basketball.

Mrs. McCarthy has been married to Patrick J. McCarthy for 12 years and they reside in Brielle with their four daughters Ryan (8), Quinn (7), Logan (3) and Payton (1). Mrs. McCarthy earned her MAT from Montclair State University in May 2002 and her BA from Penn State University in May 1994. A big sports fan, Mrs. McCarthy proudly cheers for the Nittany Lions and Joe Paterno, roots for the NY Football Giants and the NY Yankees...and when there is time enjoys tennis, golf and yoga.
