The Point Pleasant Beach School District recently offered to Point Pleasant Beach residents, the opportunity to purchase Apple 13" MacBooks that are no longer in service with the school district.

The units have been used by middle school students for the last 3 years.  All of the units are in working order and have been tested with Apple diagnostic software.  There may be minor scratches and scuff marks on the units.  They do show some signs of wear and tear.  All machines have been cleaned and contain the Apple operating system.   There is no other software installed.  Machines are being sold "as is".

The sale of the MacBooks was conducted On-Line.  The sale was held Monday, December 5, 2011 starting at 8:00 a.m. and was to end Friday, December 9, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.  All MacBooks were sold based on the time and date of the completion of the online form, with priority given to PPB residents.  There were almost 300 requests entered in matter of minutes.

There will be a maximum of 2 MacBooks per household purchased.

The purchase price of each individual unit will be $200.

Completion of the order form does not guarantee receipt of a MacBook.  There is a limited quantity and it is possible that orders will outnumber the available machines.  Those who complete the form will be notified of whether they will receive a machine or not within 24 hours of submitting the form.

***  Thank You everyone for your interest....we have received a very high quantity of orders, way more than the number of machines that are available.  Those who will be getting their order filled will be notified shortly.  ***

Those who are awarded machines will be notified to pick the machine up from the Board of Education building at 299 Cooks Lane.  Payment will be due at that time.  The District also requires that a Hold Harmless form shall be signed when picking up the machine(s).
